The majority of the paintings in this exhibition were of local scenes and they highlighted the many lovely landscapes and historical buildings within Clackmannanshire, Stirling, Falkirk and the surrounding areas. There was also a selection of paintings and photographs capturing colourful views of the River Forth from the foreshore at Alloa and Kincardine.
Plus there was a set of ten paintings by one of the artists depicting his interpretation of a "Fantasy tour of old Alloa by Vincent van Gogh".
For this 'Local scenes exhibition' the artists endeavoured to portray the beauty and history of the locality in all four seasons of the year and from sunrise to sunset.
As well as this very interesting display of local scenes there was also a wide variety of paintings of flowers, wildlife, seascapes, landscapes and abstracts plus colourful handmade felt jewellery and handmade cards by professional and semi-professional artists in Central Scotland who are all members of Central Arts.
